The Press
A small house for literary fiction and crime novels, created by two people who believe books should be well crafted, beautifully presented and a memorable read.

The History
Paeon Press was founded in 2021 by Mark and Nadia Dixon to champion a small, carefully chosen list of writers and bring the best of their work into print. Mark, a former academic, and Nadia, an educator, built the press around discernment rather than scale, creating a home for books by Martin Travis, Mark Kavanagh, and Rachel Ellis-Ward.
The Philosophy
- Literature with lasting value. We publish books chosen not for passing fashions but for their originality, craftsmanship and enduring capacity to reward thoughtful readers.
- Distinctive voices. Whether comic, literary or historical, every Paeon Press title reflects an individual authorial voice. We seek writers whose work combines intellectual ambition with readability and humanity.
- Books made with care. We believe that the physical book matters. Thoughtful design, careful editing and high production standards are integral to the reading experience and to the long-term life of every title.
- A home for independent writing. We champion authors whose work may lie beyond the mainstream yet deserves a wide readership. Our aim is to build a coherent catalogue of books that readers can return to with confidence, knowing they have been selected for quality rather than fashion.
