Three books a year, on purpose

A short defence of publishing slowly in an age that does not.

We publish no more than a handful of books each year. This is not a limitation we resent; it is the whole point.

A small list means every book is chosen, edited, designed, and argued over by the people whose names are on the door. It means we can sit with a manuscript until it is the truest version of itself. Slowness, for us, is a form of respect.
